The Story of Noah, a lesson for 4th, 5th, and 6th graders

This lesson was part of a drama course in an experiential learning program designed to get learners up and out of their seats and engage them from every angle. The course material was geared toward personal development, personal belief and ethical decision making--while learning biblical texts and narratives through the lens of drama and acting. This lesson and many others like it allowed learners to be creative, to grow, and to have fun while doing it!

Mishpacha Mitzvah: Inter-generational Learning

Learning doesn't stop simply because you leave one age group or stage of life and move into another. Just as you grow, so too should your learning. Mishpacha Mitzvah: a Program Combining Inter-generational Learning with Family Strengthening, works to connect generations within families through Jewish learning and exploration. The young learn about growing older, and the old learn how to remain younger longer--and both do so while strengthening their Jewish identities. The program included here serves as a scaffolding for congregational learning, providing ideas, resources, and a full lesson plan.
